Obituary of Vincent Martin
MARTIN - Vincent Paul Martin was born April 26, 1981 in Yorkton to Carl and Pam Martin. On Saturday, April 5, 2014 Vince passed away from a brain aneurysm at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. Raised and educated in Yorkton and area Vince started his career in drywalling at the age of 15 with his Uncle Joe. At the game farm in Calder is where he was a guide and assisted hunters from around the world. He worked for Kozie Drywall here in Yorkton. Family life began when Vince met Teena and her daughter. They made a home and together had three more children. Precious memories of their Dad will be shared with the baby on the way. Time spent with his children was special to Vince ensuring camping trips and cooking at a barbeque were enjoyed. Starting at a young age, hunting was what Vince did and became proficient as a provider. From moose, elk, deer to rabbits he was a hunter at heart. Love for the outdoors lead Vince to also enjoy fishing, camping, ski-doing and "ripping up the mud" while quading. Demolition derby cars was a hobby shared with his brother-in-law and friend, Dave. As he always had Vince worked hard his last day, shopped with his family and ensured they were provided for. That evening he enjoyed a couple drinks and relaxed. They laughed and spent time together, which taught us all that "we only get so many trips around the sun". May the wind always be in your favour and the moose, deer and elk be numerous where you are. Vince leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Teena; children, Jessica, Amie, Jason and Amber; his parents, Pam and Carl; sisters, Carla (Dave) Bodnar, Sherryce Martin; brothers, Brent Martin and Brett Martin; his maternal grandmother, aunts, uncles and numerous nieces and nephews. Vince is reunited with all those family members who have gone before him. A visitation was held on Wednesday evening April 9th 2014 from the Chapel of Bailey's Funeral Home. The funeral service was held on Thursday afternoon, April 10th 2014 from the Chapel of Bailey's Funeral Home with Crystal Bailey B.Th. officiating. Max Delorme gave the eulogy.
