A memorial folder from the funeral service may be printed under the "Memories" tab, then choose "Memorial" program. SMOLINSKI - Gail Denise Marie Smolinski of Yorkton, beloved wife of Paul died in Christ Jesus, on October 1, 2014 at 62 years of age. She was born in Winnipeg, MB on April 29, 1952. She met Paul while working as a car-hop at the Redtop Drive In Restaurant in Winnipeg. They were later married on June 11, 1971. Gail was a wonderful mother to four children: Christine, Benjamin, and twins Jessica and Jacqueline. She was always supportive in their endeavors, encouraging them to expand their horizons and comfort zones. She was always proud of her childrens' accomplishments and encouraged independence. A passion for natural heath medicine led her to pursue years of studying that resulted in over a dozen designations, and culminated in September 2013, where she earned a Doctorate in Natural Medicine. She always got straight A's, no matter what she studied! She opened a natural health clinic in 1999 and called it An Ounce of Prevention Natural Health Center. As well, she assisted in the family business, Kings Sport Leisure & Marine. She enjoyed scrapbooking, often doing so long after everyone else went to bed! Gail occasionally hunted, bringing home bear and deer for the family's freezer. She also was involved with the Yorkton Toastmasters Club, and often did public speaking to various groups in the Yorkton area. Gail was a very warm-hearted person who always put others first, touching the lives of everyone that knew her. She always had the passion to help others spiritually, physically, and mentally. She was a woman of unshakeable faith, never missing an opportunity to share Christ. Even her license plate on her car was "REPENT"! We rejoice with her as she goes on to eternal life with Christ Jesus, where she'll meet with daughter Christine who went on ahead in 1997. She is survived by numerous relatives and many dear friends. A service of farewell was held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Lincoln Gagnon of Miracle Temple Ministry officiating. Musical selections were provided by Laurie Ann Cooper. Paul Smolinski shared a tribute and words of inspiration. The interment followed in the Yorkton City Cemetery with Nancy Allard, Diane Schellenberg, Joe Smolinski, Charlie Smolinski, Ben Smolinski and Laurie Ann Cooper serving as the pallbearers. Memorials honouring Gail's life may be made to Saskatchewan Abilities. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.baileysfuneralhome.com
