Obituary of Phyllis Bourassa

Mom was born on February 26, 1952 at Norquay, Saskatchewan a daughter of Gordon Papequash and Mary Brass (nee Favel). She grew up on the Key First Nation and attended school there and in Norquay. She later moved to Sturgis with her kids where she lived until she moved to Regina. Phyllis loved to go for long walks, gardening, crocheting, playing cards and just being with family and friends. Mom especially enjoyed serving the Lord. Her greatest enjoyment was raising her family and later helping to raise Caitlin. Her faith, her family and her friends were the most important things in the world to her. This was always shown through the love she shared. Mom leaves to mourn her passing, her husband of 30 years, Steve Bourassa; son, Wellesley Brass Sr.; daughters, Jackie Brass, Sharon Brass (Steven), Laureena Brass (Karan); grandchildren, Wellesley Jr., Alexandra, Travis, Bella, Caitlin, Cori, Shane, Ashley, Brody, Kali, Joey; great grandchildren, Ethan and Abby; sisters, Lillian, Mabel (Harvey), Vera (Robert), Victreen (Darrell), Bernice, Sandra (Robert), and Carleen; brothers, Norman (Lorraine), Lorne (Margaret) and Calvin (Nicole) Mom was predeceased by her parents, Gordon Papequash, Mary Brass, brothers, Wilbert, Peter, Vernon, Gordon Jr.; sisters, Doreen, Josephine and Rita.
