Obituary of James Pelletier

It is with great sadness that the family of James Pelletier, beloved husband of June Pelletier, announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. He was 54 years of age. The Wake will be held on Monday, June 20th at 1:00pm in the family home (159 Little Bone First Nation). The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 21st at 10:00am also at the family home with Pastor Rick Flamont officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey's Funeral and Cremation Care, Yorkton. PELLETIER - It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of our beloved James Pelletier Jr. He was 54 years of age. James was born January 14, 1968 in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. James was a caring, loving, helpful man. He would help anyone who needed help. He was always there to lend a hand. James will be missed by everyone who knew him. He always had the biggest smile on his face no matter what. You can’t forget his Kitty Princess Baby. James would do anything for his wife, always called her his “spoiled witch.” He loved all his grandbabies with all his heart, he always made sure to visit them all everyday. James loved all farm work and enjoyed working with his farm friends especially his cuz Pat who was also his friend. He loved working on cars, machinery and cement and doing concrete jobs. James is predeceased by his parents James Pelletier Sr. and Mabel Peepeetch, sisters Sandra Lane (nee Peepeetch) and Betty Sammy, granddaughter Charlie Rose Sky Razor, nieces Melinda and Charlotte. James is survived by his wife June Pelletier (his baby), brother Wilfred Peepeetch, his children Jimmy, Jessie (Danny), Jon Jon (Abby) and Janine (Daryl), his grandchildren Jaziah, Jazelle, Mabel, Aliyah, Faye, Lyla, Julian, Jessie, Charlotte, Janine and Aaron as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many family members. A Wake was held on Monday, June 20th and a Service on Tuesday, June 21st, 2022 both at his Home at Little Bone First Nation with Tim Roussin officiating. A Tribute and Words of Remembrance were shared by Nicole Pelletier. Serving as casket bearers were Shawn Martin, Brad Martin, Ewen McDonald, Curwin Sammy, Brandon Peepeetch, Patrick Pelletier and Saul Pelletier. Jimmy Jr. Pelletier, Seraphine Sammy and his Great Nieces and Nephews served as Firekeepers. Cremation followed with scattering to take place at a later date.
