Obituary of Steve William Wuschenny

WUSCHENNY - Mr. Steve Wuschenny, aged 51 years of Maple Ridge, BC, formerly of Ituna, SK passed away on Thursday, August 6th 2015 at the Ridge Meadows Hospital. Prayers will be held on Thursday, Aug. 13th at 7:00pm, and the Requiem Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 14th at 10:00am, both services from Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ituna. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. Steven William Wuschenny was born on May 31, 1964 at Ituna, Saskatchewan; son of Nellie (nee Lulchak) and Richard Wuschenny. Steven was raised on the family farm and completed his schooling in Ituna. As a young man he began working out and tried various occupations including farm labourer and carpentry. For a number of years he worked as a driller on the oil rigs throughout Alberta, British Columbia and NWT. On January 27th 1995 he was united in marriage to Tamara Michel. The couple resided in Chetwynd BC, then moved back to Saskatchewan for a couple of years but returned to the coast, living in Port Coquitlam. Steven had recently re-located to Maple Ridge and was last working for Veolia Environmental Services. Steve passed away on Thursday, August 6th 2015 at the Ridge Meadows Hospital in Maple Ridge. He was 51 years of age. Steven will be remembered for his love of outdoor activities, especially fishing. He also enjoyed quadding, hunting, demolition derby's, and in younger years, spending time on his mountain bike. Predeceased by his father Richard in 1996, he leaves to cherish his memory his mother Nellie of Ituna; his son Dylan (Jessica) of Maple Ridge; his former wife Tamara and her daughter Kayleigh; brothers: Terry (Marie) of Saskatoon, and Rick of Ituna; his three nieces: Carly, Marci & Renee Wuschenny. Also Walter & Mary Wuschenny, Alex Wuschenny, Sally & Jaymie Graefer, as well as many other aunts, uncles & cousins.
