Obituary of Edna Doreen Butz

With great sorrow in our hearts our Mother, Edna Doreen Butz (Ballendine) has passed away August 24th, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospital in Melville at the age of 86. Edna was born March 7th, 1929 on the family farm in the Coxby district of Saskatchewan. Edna was the eldest daughter of Rubina Haugen (nee Ballendine). Edna met and married Henry Butz in Saskatoon where they lived and raised eight children. Edna always enjoyed dancing, playing cards and her George Jones music. She moved to Ituna with her daughter Karen & she enjoyed sitting by the fire visiting and roasting marshmallows. Edna leaves to mourn her three daughters, Debbie (Joe) Benson, Cheryl (Garry) Hinz, Brenda Butz (William Jones), Julie (Stan) Zacharis, one son, Steven (Corrine) Butz, 36 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, her best friend Joan Braaten. Edna was predeceased by her mother Rubena Haugen & husband Henry Butz, daughter Karen Sanderman, sons, Johnathan Brian Butz and Rodney David Butz. Edna will be sadly missed by her family and friends and will always be in our hearts. Service Information Saturday, August 29th, 2015 4:00pm, Lakeside United Church
