Obituary of Emily Krushelnicki

KRUSHELNICKI - Mrs. Emily Krushelnicki of Ituna, widow of Philip passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital in Melville on August 25, 2015 at the age of 94. Emily was born on March 10, 1921 on the family farm south of Ituna to Adolph and Mary (Korchinski) Braden. Emily attended the Drumague School to grade 9. On February 17, 1949 Emily married Philip Krushelnicki. They lived in Ituna, where they raised their three children. She was a member of the U.C.W.L., Ituna Hospital Auxillary and the Ituna Social Club. Emily loved gardening, cooking and baking and spent many hours quilting, crocheting and knitting. She was an avid card player and curler. Emily was predeceased by her husband Philip Krushelnicki, parents Adolph and Mary (Korchinski) Braden, two brothers, John & Walter and sister, Julie Snow, great grandson Chase Heumann. Emily leaves to mourn, her three children and their families, son, Garry (Iris) and their daughters, Sheila and Kim; son, Irvin and his sons, Travis (Sarah), Cody and Aaron; daughter, Cathy (Dennis) Mews and children, Lisa (Michael) and their sons Jacob and Hunter, Sara (Gagan) and their son Skylar; Ryan (Jenna); Jessica; daughter in law, Karen; one brother, Adolph Braden; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The Prayer Service was held on Friday, August 28, 2015 and the Funeral Liturgy on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ituna with Very Rev. Peter Pidskalny, C.Ss.R. as the Celebrant. The cross bearers were Emily's great grandchildren, Jacob, Hunter and Skyler and the epistle reader was Lisa Heumann. The interment followed in Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery with Emily's grandchildren, Kim Krushelnicki, Sheila Krushelnicki, Lisa Heumann, Travis Krushelnicki, Sara Krushelnicki, Cody Krushelnicki, Ryan Howse, Aaron Krushelnicki and Jessica Krushelnicki serving as the casketbearers.
