Obituary of Rosalie "Rose" Kletchko

Rosalie (nee Rieger) Kletchko was born on February 8, 1921 in, the Grayson district. of Saskatchewan, a daughter of Mathies and Annie (nee Exner) Rieger. Rose as she was known to family and friends grew up on a farm in the Grayson area and received her education at the Columbia school. As a young girl she helped her parent's on the family farm. On October 20, 1941 Rose was united in marriage to Joseph Kletchko at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Grayson. The couple farmed where Joe grew up. In 1 953 they built a house in Grayson and drove out to do the farm work until selling the farm in 1972 due to Joe's health. Rose took an active part in making the farm grow and looked after the children. Rose was an active member of St.. Mary Church, a group leader with the Church Ladies and a member of the Senior Citizens. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, golfing, watching TV and playing cards. Rose entered her eternal rest on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Home in Melville at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by her parents: her husband, Joe; her daughter, Jane Gelowitz; son-in-law, Pete Maksymec; one sister, Annie Hickie; eight brothers, Matt, Frank, Jim, Joe, John, George, Chris and Tony. Rose leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish memory, her children, Jerry (Mona) Kletchko of Nanaimo, BC; Geraldine Maksymec of Regina, SK; Elaine (Brian) Hartwig of Selkirk, MB; and Nancy (John) Gyug of Grayson, SK; son-in-law, Allan (Pat) Gelowitz of Grayson, SK; thirteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Eva Rieger of Grayson, SK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and relatives Service Information Saturday, August 29th, 2015 10:00am, St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church Interment Details St. Mary's Parish Cemetery - Grayson
