Obituary of Arnold Gerald Vernon Davidson

Arnold Gerald Davidson was born November 14, 1925 in Naicam, SK to Roy and Annie (nee Larson) Davidson. It is with great sadness but also a sense of peace that Arnold passed away at the Aspen Villa Nursing Home on Wednesday November 18, 2015 at the age of 90. He is lovingly remembered by his sister Doris Rusnak and brother-in-law Michael Rusnak, nieces and nephews Wayne (Diane) Rusnak, Joann (Barry) Zapshalla, David (LaurieAnne) Rusnak, Richard (Nancy) Davidson, Robert (Lynne) Davidson, Kevin (Teresa) Davidson and may great nieces and nephews. Arnold was predeceased by his parents Roy and Annie Davidson, brother Lynos and sister-in-law Margaret. Arnold grew up in Pinkham and Colville District. Later moved to Theodore area where he farmed with his Dad. In 1974 Arnold moved to Yorkton with his parents and lived on 4th Ave, where he enjoyed his daily walks to town visiting many local business people. He loved playing cards and taking his friends for day trips to the lakes. Arnold's unique sense of humor always made his nieces and nephews chuckle. After living on his own from 1983, in January 2014 Arnold's health took a turn and he moved into Aspen Villa's. The staff was very caring and made his stay very comfortable, although, this was a significant change in lifestyle for a bachelor. He shall be missed by all. The funeral service was held on Monday, November 23rd 2015 from Zion Lutheran Church in Yorkton with Rev. Daniel Moeller officiating. The organist, Verna Liebrecht, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns 'What A Friend We Have in Jesus', 'Amazing Grace', and 'Beautiful Saviour'. The interment followed in the Yorkton City Cemetery with David Rusnak as the urnbearer. Condolences may be left at baileysfuneralhome.com Memorials were to the Church Memorial Fund.
