Obituary of Gordon Grant Wlasichuk

Gordon Wlasichuk of Yorkton, husband of Joan, passed away on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 at the age of 62 years. Cremation has taken place. A private family service to celebrate Gordon's life was held on Saturday, April 1st. 2017 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre. Gord was born on September 12, 1954 in Yorkton, the eldest of 4 children born to George and Pauline Wlasichuk. Gord lived his entire life in the Yorkton area. He worked for the CNR (Canadian National Railway) for the entirety of his career. He retired in 2015 after 42 years of service. He was proud to be an engineer. Gord enjoyed reading, watching movies, listening to music and collecting coins. He also enjoyed traveling and riding his motorcycle. He was a very private and quiet person who was loving and caring. Gord was predeceased by his father, George and grandparents George and Mary. He leaves to mourn his passing and to celebrate his life, his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Joan (nee Bewcyk); son Brian (Elda) Wlasichuk; daughter Shellie (David) Dutton, mother Pauline Wlasichuk; sisters, Shelly (Bernie) Grunert, Darlene Gordon, Delores (Greg) Kary; grandchildren, Brianne and Nathan Wlasichuk; Matthew and Damon Dutton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
