Obituary of Martha Helen Shuflita

Martha Shuflita was born February 18th, 1943, on a farm by Jasmin, SK. She was the second child born to Mike C. and Olga Korchinski. Martha, attended Drumauge School, The Late Star School, and Ituna School. After high school she worked in Regina and Melville at Simpson's Sears. Martha married Mike Shuflita at St. George's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Melville in 1966. They left Melville in 1974. So then they then left to farm outside of Hubbard, SK where she farmed and lived until 1985; until she moved with her kids to Ituna, SK. She then moved to Saskatoon in 2003, where she lived until she passed away April 22, 2017 peacefully in St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. Her favorite things to in her life was gardening, playing cards, embroidering, word searches, and listen to Elvis, Johnny Cash, and Ukrainian music. Also, playing poker with her kid's. Ukrainian Holidays were her favorite times she like to practice her religious holidays and Ukrainian traditions. She was devoted to the Hubbard Holy Cross Church, and an active member and was president of the woman's club. Martha, would give you the shirt off her back. Never hesitate to offer you a meal or take care of you. She will be missed by everyone who got to know her. Martha got called on by God to be with him in paradise and free from pain. Martha was predeceased by her husband Mike Shuflita (1985), her parents Mike C. Korchinski (1992) and Olga Korchinski (2003) and he brother David Korchinski (2001). She leaves to cherish her memory her children and her families... Daughter Roseann Shuflita (Saskatoon), son Joey Shuflita, Daughter in law Amanda Shuflita, and grandchildren Tyler Marchycha, Kody Marchycha and Leah Marchycha (Saskatoon). Sister Annie Renkas (Calgary) and brother Metro Korchinski and sister in law Lorna Korchinski (Good Spirit) and many nephew and nieces. She also leaves her fur grand babies Cinniomen, Tinee, and Hershey.
