My condolences to the family of Gene. I had the pleasure to get to know Gene while working for Legacy Coop. I will cherish the memories and time spent with Gene preparing for volunteer opportunities, pumpkin walk and just visiting. Gene did much in his lifetime to better his community and to help others. We will miss our friend and are forever grateful for his early support of the Yorkton & District Community Foundation. Gene's philanthropic legacy will live on with annual grants from the fund that Gene and Gladys established to help families in need, the "Krepakevich Fund for Families". Our deepest condolences to Gladys and to all of Gene's family members and friends.

I miss catching rides to Roughrider games with Gene and Gladys. We always contributed our guesses on the final score and regardless their record, Gene always predicted a Rider win and moaned and groaned when I'd more realistically predict a loss. We will miss him.

I had the great privilege of teaching with Gene in Yorkton in the late 1960's - early 1970's. He was always supportive and encouraging and always had time to share a moment of humour or conversation. I have often thought of our friendship over the years and was very saddened to learn of his passing. For many he was their favourite teacher and for good reason. He had a positive impact on his students and with those who were his colleague. Thanks for the memories Gene. Ernie and Olivia Cychmistruk
