Obituary of Annie Musyj
Annie was born to Sophie and Michael Flinta on November 16, 1913 in Toky, Western Ukraine. Annie came to Canada on May 4, 1929 joining her father Michael who was farming in the Hard Rock Area. One summer she worked at a tourist camp in Northern Ontario. On November 9, 1930 she married Emil Musyj. They farmed until 1972 in the district of Hubbard and later that year they moved to Ituna. On January 13, 2012, Annie moved to Pioneer Lodge where she resided until her passing. Annie passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 1, 2018 at the age of 104 years old. Annie was predeceased by her husband Emil in 1977, son Eugene in 1988, son Zenon 2010, and son -in-law Russell in 2012, as well her brother John, wife Anne, sister Mary and husband George. Annie leaves behind to mourn, daughter Gladys Smysniuk, son John (Elaine) Musyj, daughters -in-law Annie Musey and Shirley Musyj, 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Annie was involved in her church, the UCWLC and the Ituna Social Club. In her spare time she enjoyed embroidery, cross stitching, knitted, did crochet, gardening; which she did till she was 99, bingo, cards, and cooking. We all especially remember Baba's freezer jam, borscht and salads. Service Information
