Obituary of Sally Verna Byblow
Sally Verna Byblow (nee Werestiuk) Sally passed peacefully on January 19, 2018 after receiving the Sacrament of Last Rites. At her side were her husband Harvey and family members. At her request she is to be cremated and a celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Sally was born in Sundown Manitoba and grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She received her nursing training in Winnipeg. She pursued her nursing career in Winnipeg, Vancouver and Whitehorse. While in the Yukon health issues forced her to end her Nursing career, where she than pursued a career with the northern telecom company Northwest Tel. During all this time she also pursued a musical career and became well known throughout the Yukon as Sally West. Sally is survived by her husband Harvey, a brother-in-law Ed Kleppe, a nephew Kurt Kleppe both in Washington state, a daughter-in-law Jackie, two granddaughters, Kaylee and Keri and a great-grandson Odin all of Selkirk Manitoba. She is also survived by a son Leigh (Corrine) and their daughter Madeline of West Vancouver, BC; a daughter Leslie and her children Nikki and Noah of Calgary, AB and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Sally was predeceased by her father John Werestiuk, mother Pearl Werestiuk (nee Protziuk), older sister Jean Kleppe, brother Paul Werestiuk and a son Rick. Those that wish may make contributions in Sally's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or to our Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ituna, Saskatchewan.
