Obituary of Rosa Flagel

FLAGEL - Rosa Flagel, 75, of Melville, Sk, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 6, 2018. Rosa was the eldest daughter born to Daniel and Cecile Wasacase on January 20, 1943 in Mariville, Sk. When Rosa turned 21, she met the love of her life, Peter. They spent many years raising their children, Valerie, Christine, Geraldine, Betty Anne, Carol, Patti, Peter and eldest grandchild, Crystal, in Dubuc, Sk. When Crystal was born she never left her grand"Moms" side. They shared a special closeness. Rose later moved to Melville to be closer to her and her girls. Rosa's life was her family. She shared many special moments with each of her children and grandchildren. She kept her family close with pictures on her bedside, so they were the first thing she saw when she woke up each day. Rosa especially loved when her whole family could get together. She would always be the last one to go to bed, so she could enjoy them for just a little longer. Rosa's pride and joy were her grandchildren. She had nicknames for each one and made everyone of them feel so special. She enjoyed car rides, ice cream, laughing and having sleepovers with "her babies", Hayley & Daihja and her monthly visits with Betty Anne, who would take special care of her and spoil her with her good cooking. She would especially love when she could get anyone of them to dance to Elvis Presley music and enjoyed talking with them about the old days. When Rosa's mobility declined, she moved to St. Paul Lutheran home in January of 2018. She loved all the staff who worked there and the many activities she took part in. Rosa was a good humoured and kind woman who will be missed by all who knew her. Rosa was pre deceased by parents; Daniel & Cecile, Beloved husband Peter; Daughter; Valerie, Granddaughters; Rebecca, Rachel Anne, Son-In- Law; Darren, Brothers; Jack, Dennis & David, Sisters; Yvonne & Gloria. Rosa is survived by children; Christine, Geraldine (Doug) Betty Anne (Richard), Carol (Dennis), Patti Peter JR. (Debbie) Grandchildren; Crystal (Scott) Catlin (Trista) Stephanie (Chris),Thomas, R.J, Amanda (Adam), Andrea, Clinton (Whitney), Rachel (Aaron), Michaela (Garret), Victoria, Tristan (Dani), April, Shayla, Kiera, Great Grandchildren; Hayley, Daihja, Brooklyn, Noah, Miyah, Amy, Jordyn, Matthew, Cheyanne & Ariyenna Sisters; Madeline (Richard) Brother; Ralph and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from St. Henry's Roman Catholic Church in Melville with Father Andrew Sowa OMI as the Celebrant.
